The Ex-Governor and Ex-president Aspirant, Peter Obi Congratulates Nigerian Professor Appointed Cambridge Varsity College President

  Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, took to Twitter on Monday to extend his heartfelt congratulations to Professor Ijeoma Uchegbu, a Nigerian and renowned expert in Pharmaceutical Nanoscience. Professor Uchegbu has been appointed as the President of Wolfson College, one of the esteemed colleges at the University of Cambridge. 

  In his tweet, Obi expressed his joy and admiration for Professor Uchegbu's exceptional work in nanoparticle drug delivery, which has earned her global recognition and numerous accolades. He highlighted her contributions to the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), emphasizing her dedication and intellectual prowess. 

  Not only has Professor Uchegbu's groundbreaking research led to the development of innovative treatments for pain relief, but it has also paved the way for further advancements in pharmaceutical science, ultimately improving global health. Obi commended her unwavering commitment and congratulated her on this well-deserved appointment. 

  Looking ahead, Obi expressed his optimism that Professor Uchegbu will continue to make significant global impacts and inspire a new generation of passionate researchers. He believes that through her leadership, the frontiers of science, medicine, and global health will be pushed even further. 

  Obi also urged Professor Uchegbu to continue her contributions to Nigeria's development, particularly in the areas of health and education. He believes that her expertise and influence will greatly benefit her home country. 

  He wrote, "I wish to joyfully congratulate Ijeoma Uchegbu, a Nigerian and Professor of Pharmaceutical Nanoscience, celebrated for her exceptional work in nanoparticle drug delivery, who has just been announced as the 7th President of Wolfson College, one of the 31 colleges of the University of Cambridge. 

"Prof. Uchegbu, currently a lecturer at University College London, is also globally celebrated for her high intellectual and global works in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) which have won her numerous awards, fellowships, and accolades, as she continues to trail the blaze in pharmaceutical nanoscience. 

"Her innovative breakthrough and academic excellence, reborn out of years of dedication and hard work, have not only led to the development of new treatments that promise to transform pain relief but have also paved the way for deeper research in pharmaceutical science for the improvement of health - a very critical index of human development. As she boldly steps into her new position next year, I wish her more all-around success." 

  Nevertheless, Professor Uchegbu is  preparing to assume her new role next year, Obi wished her continued success in all her endeavors.
