Romeo Lavia, a midfielder for Chelsea, will miss the rest of the season.

 

   

  Chelsea's Romeo Lavia will be sidelined for the rest of the 2023/24 season due to ongoing injury recovery complications. The midfielder suffered a serious thigh injury in December against Crystal Palace, and recent medical assessments have determined that he won't be able to make a comeback this year.

    In an announcement made by Chelsea, the club expressed disappointment over Lavia's extended absence. "Regrettably, midfielder Romeo Lavia will miss the remainder of our 2023-24 campaign due to a setback in his recovery," the statement stated.

   This news is a setback for both Chelsea and the player, who has yet to leave his mark on the club since transferring from Southampton last summer. Chelsea secured the midfielder's services in August 2023 on an initial seven-year deal.
