A man in tears and devastated as he loses his €3K German job due to internet interruptions.

Due to the recent internet disruptions in certain African countries, a young man who was employed as a remote staff for a German company has unfortunately lost his job. These disruptions were caused by damage to international undersea cables, resulting in a major impact on internet connectivity for several days.

The young man, who had been expecting a monthly salary of £3,640, shared with a friend through a chat that he was laid off by the company's Human Resource department. It appears that he was unable to resolve an issue he was tasked with, leading to his termination.

During the conversation, he mentioned that he had been on a 12-week probation period, but had only completed 6 weeks before the internet challenges arose. His friend, who shared the chat on social media, expressed concern over the situation, stating that the internet outage in Ghana had caused the loss of a professional colleague's job. The friend also highlighted the potential impact on other remote workers in Ghana, emphasizing the slow progress being made in resolving the internet issues.

It is disheartening to see the negative consequences of the internet disruptions, with this young man losing €3k per month due to the challenges of "dumsor" and the internet outage. This situation raises concerns about the impact on just other individuals working remotely in Ghana.
