Chef Adebayo Temitope has made Oyo State proud by completing a 200-hour cookathon, setting a new Guinness World Record.

 


Chef Adebayo Temitope's remarkable achievement of completing a in200-hour cookathon has garnered praise from the Oyo State Government. In a statement shared on X, the government expressed their congratulations to Chef Adebayo and acknowledged his feat in setting a new Guinness World Record.

The Oyo Government's post read, "We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Prince Adebayo Ayodeji Temitope, also known as #cheftopemaggie, on successfully completing his 200-hour Cookathon. The people of Ogbomoso and the entire Oyo State join us in celebrating this remarkable accomplishment."

Chef Adebayo commenced his culinary journey on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 6:31 p.m. and concluded it earlier today, Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 2:31 a.m. The Oyo Government eagerly awaits the final verification and official recognition of this new world record by the esteemed Guinness World Records team.

It is worth noting that the previous record, held by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci, was surpassed by over 24 hours by Alan Fisher from Ireland, who cooked for an impressive 119 hours and 57 minutes at his restaurant in Japan, as announced by the Guinness World Records on November 7.
