A parent in Lagos welcome a sets of twins after the death of their 14 years old son.

Mr. Olamilekan Sanyaolu, the father of Mubarak, a 14-year-old boy tragically killed by a stray bullet fired by a police officer on November 4, 2021, at Command bus-stop in the Meiran area of Lagos State, has recently experienced the joy of welcoming a new set of twins with his wife, Abidemi, who is visually impaired.

In a touching ceremony held at their church in the Abule Egba area of the state, the babies were named on Tuesday, November 14. The unexpected arrival of the twins occurred just three days after the couple marked the second anniversary of their son Mubarak's untimely passing.

Young Mubarak, an apprentice in vulcanization and a secondary school student, met his tragic fate when he was struck by a bullet fired by a police officer from the Meiran Police Command while returning home from his workshop. The fatal shot instantly ended Mubarak's life, as the bullet tore through his abdomen.

This unfortunate incident unfolded while the officers were dispersing tricycle riders who were protesting the killing of their fellow rider by the police over a N100 bribe.

Despite their profound grief, the mother, who is currently blind, expressed that the birth of the twins has brought some measure of solace to their grieving family, in the wake of the loss of their first child.

It is important to note that the couple is still actively seeking justice for their late son, as they continue to navigate the legal process.
