Tragic Loss: Man Commits Suicide After Losing N2.5m To Betting

In a heartbreaking incident, a man named Onoh Chukwuma reportedly ended his own life after losing N2.5m to betting. The news spread like wildfire after Onoh posted a message on his Facebook wall, stating that it was his last day on earth and that he was going to meet his maker. Little did anyone know that he had already consumed an insecticide before making this chilling announcement.

In his final post, Onoh expressed gratitude towards certain individuals, acknowledging their presence in his life. He wrote, "Today is my last day on earth! I'm going to meet my maker. Thank you Chima Anyaso, Ikukuoma Abia, Kelvin Jombo Onumah, Ekwueme Ohafia, and my friends. My spirit is with you all."

Upon discovering his distressing situation, friends rushed Onoh to Madonna Hospital in Umuahia. Despite the best efforts of the medical professionals to revive him, tragically, he did not survive.

It was revealed that Onoh had lost a staggering N2.5m to betting and was unable to cope with the shame and pressure from those he had borrowed money from. A friend, devastated by the news, shared the heart-wrenching details of the futile attempts made by the doctors to save Onoh's life.

Another Facebook user questioned the deceased's decision, highlighting that Onoh had N1m of his own and borrowed an additional N1.5m to place a bet that ultimately failed. The shame from his debtors became unbearable, leading to his tragic end.

Expressing her grief, a Facebook user named Ibeako Esther Chisom wrote, "Onoh Chukwuma Richard, I am heartbroken. I watched the doctors and nurses desperately trying to bring you back, but unfortunately, all their efforts were in vain. I witnessed the moment the doctor confirmed your passing right in front of me and our friends. Rest in peace, Onoh Chukwuma Richard. I am heartbroken."

Another user, Obika James Abuchi, questioned the deceased's actions, asking, "Onoh, who taught you that taking your own life was the solution? You had N1m and borrowed N1.5m to play a bet that failed. Was it worth it?"

Friends and acquaintances have flooded Onoh's Facebook page with messages of condolences, mourning the loss of a life that ended far too soon.
