Ex-manager Chochoo disclosed the reasons why Mr Ibu's leg was amputated.

Just now, in a recent interview, Emeka Chochoo, the former manager of actor John Okafor, known as Mr Ibu, disclosed the reasons behind the amputation of Okafor's leg. Chochoo revealed that Okafor's leg became infected due to arterial insufficiency, a condition where the blood flow to his leg was restricted.

This caused him to suffer from severe pain and swelling in his ankle, which led to the need for an amputation. Chochoo also explained that the condition could have been prevented if it had been detected and treated early. He added that Okafor was now receiving and responding to treatment.

In his word, he said "I was with him up until yesterday. I worked as Mr Ibu's manager for over a decade and he is responding well to treatment; he is gradually healing."

Mr. Chochoo gives further explanations that Mr. Okafor's medical journey has been complicated and ongoing, with many different ailments being treated one after another. The amputation was a result of an infection of Mr. Okafor's artery, which went unnoticed until it was too late.

While the situation is unfortunate, Mr. Chochoo has made it clear that the doctors are doing everything they can to help Mr. Okafor recover and get back to his usual self. Despite the hardships, Mr. Okafor remains in good spirits and is receiving the best possible care.

The manger said " the doctors are treating everything one after the other. What led to the amputation of one of his legs was an infection that affected one of the arteries at the ankle. "Blood wasn't flowing into the leg, which was not detected on time. When it was, it had become too late, causing the doctors to decide on the amputation*
The manager, also disclosed that the surgery was done in Nigeria, but the actor will soon be flown abroad for further treatment.

"The surgery was done in Nigeria. He will soon be flown out of the country for further treatment but for now, he is being cared for in Nigeria." The Ex manager said  this in the recent interview.
