Lagos State Government Demolishes More Structures Blocking Drainage

The Lagos State Ministry of Environment and Water Resources has intensified its efforts to keep the city's drainage systems clear and functional. 

On Saturday, November 4, 2023, operatives of the Drainage Enforcement and Compliance Department demolished structures built on drainage systems in the Ketu area of the state. 

The structures were impeding the flow of water and causing flooding in the area. The spokesperson for the ministry, Kunle Adeshina, shared photos of the demolition and a statement explaining the operation.
