Successful Operation by Nigerian Army in Kaduna Results in Death of Bandit and Recovery of Weapon

 A bandit was fatally shot by troops of the 1 Division Nigerian Army during an operation targeting suppliers of ammunition to terrorists in Kaduna State. 

This information was relayed in a statement by Musa Yahaya, the Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations for the Division, on November 15th, Wednesday. 

According to the statement, the army took decisive action against the bandits, terrorists, and other criminal elements present in Kaduna forests. Acting on reliable intelligence, troops laid an ambush on the bandits' arms and ammunition supplier at Chikun and Kajuru Local Government Areas in Kaduna State. 

The operation, conducted on November 14th, resulted in the neutralization of one bandit while the others fled in disarray with gunshot wounds due to the superior firepower of the troops. 

The statement further mentioned that the recovered items included an AK 47 rifle, a magazine, veterinary medicine, and clothing. Major General Valentine Okoro, the General Officer Commanding 1 Division NA and Force Commander of operation WHIRL PUNCH, praised the troops for their unwavering determination and urged the local populace to continue providing timely and credible intelligence to the army and other security agencies.
