Family and friends protests, demand justice for a man who was killed by landgrabers.

The family of the late Sheriff Salami, who was killed by alleged landgrabbers in Ajiran, Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State, staged a protest on Thursday to demand justice for their deceased relative.

According to reports, Salami had been actively opposing land-grabbing activities in the community prior to his untimely demise. On April 18, he was attacked and fatally shot while attending an event near his home.

Accompanied by a coalition of Civil Society Organizations, the family of the late Salami called upon the police to thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.

The protesters gathered at the police command headquarters in Ikeja at around 11 am, expressing their frustration with the local police division's alleged lack of interest in investigating the incident and apprehending the culprits.

Acting Commissioner of Police, Waheed Ayilara, later met with the protesters and received their petition. He assured them that he would personally look into the matter and encouraged anyone with information to come forward and visit the headquarters.
