The vice president of Nigeria, Kashim Shetima unveils South-East peace project in Abuja.


  Vice President Kashim Shettima participated in the unveiling ceremony of the 'Peace in South East Project' in Abia State on Friday. This project aims to address the issues of insecurity in the South East region. Shettima shared this information on his Facebook page later in the day. 

  The event was organized by Benjamin Kalu, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives. Prior to the unveiling, Shettima was honored with the traditional title of Omeziri Igbo 1, which was bestowed upon President Bola Tinubu by Eze Linus Mbah, the Chairman of the Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, during a grand reception held in honor of the Deputy Speaker.

  In his statement, Shettima expressed the President's concern about the economic challenges faced by the Southeast region due to the activities of non-state actors. 

  The President is determined to utilize all available resources to combat the spread of false information and propaganda that threaten the unity of Nigeria. 

  Although,nShettima was accompanied by notable dignitaries including Gilbert Onyekachukwu Ibezim, the Deputy Governor of Anambra State; Senator Barau Jibrin, the Deputy Senate President; Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, the Speaker of the House of Representatives; and Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
