Multipurpose hall, tricycles and other Facilities unveiled by the wife of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), in Jos.

Mariya Lagbaja, the president of the Nigerian Army Offiere's Wives Association (NAOWA), showcased a series of completed projects projects that aimed to improve the facilities and services available to the military community during her inaugural visit to the Maxwell Khobe Cantonment in Jos, Plateau State.

The three-day event, held from November 22nd to 24th, 2023, was filled with vibrant celebrations and marked the official unveiling of various initiatives.

One of the highlights of the event was the commissioning of the Mariya Abiodun Lagbaja (MAL) Multi-purpose Hall. This state-of-the-art facility, named after Mariya herself, is designed to serve as a versatile space for various activities and events. With its modern amenities and spacious layout, the hall is expected to become a hub for social gatherings, meetings, and other community engagements.

In addition to the multi-purpose hall, Mariya also inaugurated newly constructed classroom blocks. These educational facilities are aimed at enhancing the learning environment for the children of military personnel stationed at the Maxwell Khobe Cantonment. By providing well-equipped and comfortable classrooms, the Nigerian Army Officers' Wives Association hopes to contribute to the educational development of the community's youth.

Furthermore, the NAOWA Creche and Admin block at the NAOWA Nursery and Primary School underwent renovations, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for young children. The upgraded facilities will support the early childhood education programs offered by the school, enabling parents to have peace of mind while their children receive quality care and education.

Another notable addition to the cantonment was the newly constructed NAOWA Bus Stop. This facility not only serves as a convenient waiting area for commuters but also acts as a branding opportunity for the Nigerian Army Officers' Wives Association. Branded NAOWA tricycles were commissioned alongside the bus stop, providing an eco-friendly and efficient mode of transportation within the cantonment.

The photo from the event was shared by Nigerian Army on their facebook page, showcasing the vibrant atmosphere and the joyous moments shared by the military community.

The projects unveiled during Mariya Lagbaja's visit reflect the commitment of the Nigerian Army Officers' Wives Association to improving the lives of military families and creating a supportive and inclusive community within the Maxwell Khobe Cantonment.
