The sister of the ex US President, Donald Trump is dead
Donald Trump's older sister, Maryanne Trump Barry, has passed away at the age of 86 in New York, according to reports from US media on Monday.
Maryanne, a former judge who had a falling out with her brother during his presidency, died at her residence in Manhattan. She was appointed to the Federal District Court in New Jersey by President Ronald Reagan in 1983, with the help of Donald Trump's then-personal lawyer and fixer, Roy Cohn. In 1993, President Bill Clinton appointed her to the Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Maryanne had a close relationship with Donald Trump for many years and was one of the few people whose advice he sought. According to ABC, the siblings remained in contact in recent years and even met at one of Trump's golf clubs this summer. An investigation into allegations of judicial misconduct against Maryanne was dropped when she retired in 2019, amidst an ongoing investigation into the family's tax records. She maintained her innocence. Donald Trump, who is 77 years old and aiming to reclaim the White House in the upcoming year, previously lost his younger brother Robert S. Trump in 2020, as well as his first wife, Ivana Trump, in 2022. As of now, Trump has not made any immediate comments regarding Maryanne's passing.
