Driver Survives as Vehicle Engulfed in Flames on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

A driver narrowly escaped a tragic fate on   Monday evening when his white LT bus was engulfed in flames on the Longbridge section of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The incident occurred around 10pm as the vehicle was transporting goods towards the Berger area of Lagos State.

Despite the unfortunate event, the driver managed to salvage some of the goods before the entire bus was consumed by the fire.

Ojo Oloye, the head of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, MFM Unit Command, explained that the fire was caused by a faulty fuel tank that detached while the bus was in motion.

By the time authorities arrived at the scene, the bus had already been completely destroyed. Efforts are now being made to remove the remains of the vehicle from the road to prevent any further accidents.

According to him,"The fire was caused by a faulty fuel tank. It removed while the vehicle was in motion and caught fire in the process.

"The bus was already burnt beyond recognition by the time we arrived at the scene."

"We are making arrangement to remove the carcass from the road to avoid another accident," Oloye added.
