Renowned comedian Mark Angel has expressed his regret over the recent viral video featuring his protege and child comedian, Emanuella Samuel. The video, which sparked a wave of mixed reactions on social media, showcased Emanuella wearing a black dress with a high slit, revealing her lap.
While some individuals argued that the content was inappropriate for someone of her age, others commended the young comedienne for her growth and talent. In response to the criticism, Angel issued an apology, acknowledging that the video was shared without his consent.
Taking to his Instagram page, Angel addressed the situation, stating, "Dear friends and family, I would like to address a concerning matter involving my child, Emanuella. Her recent video, which has been circulating on social media, was unfortunately shared without our knowledge."

He continued, "Regrettably, she innocently wore clothing that belonged to one of her older sisters, without realizing the implications. She posted it on her WhatsApp status, but unfortunately, an adult seeking attention (who we considered a family friend) downloaded the video and shared it on their own TikTok account, disregarding the fact that Emanuella may not have fully comprehended the consequences of her actions."
Angel emphasized that the video was shared without his consent or the consent of Emanuella's handler. Taking full responsibility as a parent, he sincerely apologized for any discomfort or concern caused by the incident.
"I am addressing this situation with my child, emphasizing the importance of making responsible choices. Please understand that this was a mistake, and I am taking measures to ensure it does not happen again," Angel added.
He concluded his statement by expressing gratitude for the understanding and support during this challenging time.
