Mayorkun sworn never to perform in Calabar after he was robbed.
The former DMW signee, popularly known as Mayoku, has made a firm decision to never perform in Calabar again after experiencing a theft of an undisclosed item. The singer took to social media to express his dissatisfaction, describing the overall experience as nothing short of a nightmare.
Mayorkun wrote in his post, "I just want to wake up from this dream, bro 🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴. Nightmare is a better word! 🤦🏽♂️. CALABAR, you'll probably NEVER EVER see me again. Good luck to the other artists coming for your festivals though."
In another post, he simply stated, "❤️ It's gone! No way! ❤️"
His colleague, Iyanya, also reacted to the incident on Twitter, expressing his disappointment in the actions of the thief. He called on the people of Calabar to protect and show great hospitality to the artists who come to entertain them. Iyanya even offered a personal compensation to anyone who returns the stolen item, urging them to drop it off at THE GRAND HOTEL 🏨.
It's unfortunate that such an incident has led Mayorkun to make this decision, but hopefully, the necessary measures will be taken to ensure the safety and security of artists in the future.
