Drogba Congratulates Osimhen and Oshoala on CAF 2023 Victory

 

Didier Drogba, the renowned Chelsea legend, has extended his congratulations to Victor Osimhen and Asisat Oshoala for their triumph at the Confederation of African Football awards in 2023.

In a gesture of celebration, Drogba shared pictures of Osimhen and Oshoala on his Instagram account on Tuesday. Alongside the images, he expressed his joy, stating, "Long live the new King and Queen of Africa #victorosimhen9 #asisat_oshoala #caf_online."

Furthermore, Drogba conveyed his felicitations to his fellow Nigerians, eagerly anticipating their arrival in January for the AFCON 2023 tournament. He wrote, "Congratulations my Nigerian people, we are waiting for you in January #afcon_2023."

Osimhen, the talented Super Eagles striker, overcame tough competition from Morocco's Achraf Hakimi, a defender for PSG, and Mo Salah, a forward for Egypt and Liverpool, to secure Nigeria's first Player of the Year title in 24 years.

Meanwhile, Oshoala achieved a remarkable feat by clinching her sixth Women's Player of The Year award at the CAF Awards 2023.
