NEMA Provides Assistance to Delta Flood Victims



   The distribution of relief supplies to communities affected by flood and erosion in the Ndokwa/Ukwani Federal Constituency of Delta State has commenced. 

  According to the Edo Operations Office of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA). This information was shared through an official statement and accompanying photos posted on NEMA's official X handle on Thursday.

   The statement mentioned, "The Head of Operations was represented at the distribution exercise by the Head of Relief and Rehabilitation Unit. 

"The  Legislative Aide of the  a member of the House of Representatives,  Nnamdi Ezechi, received the  NEMA team at  Kwale. 

"The senior legislative aide, Princewill Ogbolu, thanked the Director General of NEMA on behalf of the beneficiaries for the relief materials and promised that the items would be used judiciously. 

"The relief materials distribution to the affected persons was as a result of the Director General of NEMA,  Alhaji Mustapha  Habib's approval for the affected communities in Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constitituency." 

  The statement further mentioned that the distribution exercise was carried out in collaboration with community representatives, and included various items such as food, non-food items, and building materials. 

  PUNCH reported that numerous communities in Delta State, like other states in the country, were severely impacted by the flood.
